This is a few years old now (published in 2009), but they are still a great tool to stimulate strategic and global thinking. The cards are nicely designed as they manage to contain both a bite sized idea and pack in a reasonable piece of information on the back of each. The box is a little clunky and annoying but the it's worth putting up with for the sheer breath of the content. They were created by Arup as part of their Arup Foresight group. I think the first set may have came out as early as 2006 and are similar to the IDEO method cards. Dan Hill has some background on the marvellous City of Sound blog.
